- Our cutting-edge safety technology makes your forklift trucks even more efficient.
- Our flexible packages can be combined to suit your specific requirements.
Thorough Examinations
It is a legal requirement for forklift trucks to undergo an check at least once a year, in line with the trade association regulation BGV D 27 and the Industrial Safety Ordinance (BetrSichV). After which, the forklift must be checked at regular intervals. Following the inspection, you will receive a detailed report on the inspection results and, if necessary, a no-obligation quote for the rectification of any defects.
Emissions test
Our emissions test is carried out in accordance with the TRGS 554 Diesel emissions (Technical Directives for Hazardous Substances). This test is designed to measure the soot particles and carbon monoxide content of the exhaust emissions from diesel engines used in the workplace, in order to ensure that the carcinogenic particle content remains below the permissible concentrations.
This test, as well as the optimum adjustment of the engine, also has a variety of benefits for you in terms of fuel consumption and the performance and service life of the engine.
This test is mandatory for any forklift trucks that are used primarily in enclosed workspaces.
Fuel test
In addition to Thorough Examinations, forklift trucks with LPG engines also have to be checked in accordance with the trade association regulation BGV D34. The aim is to ensure that the LPG system is in an acceptable condition, especially in terms of leak tightness and function. This is to prevent gas from escaping.
As well as being a legal requirement, making sure that your LPG systems are running smoothly reduces fuel consumption and ensures that carbon monoxide emissions are within the acceptable range.
Here are the DGUV regulations for carrying out Thorough Examinations checks.
Inspecting attachments
Attachments are also inspected as part of the Thorough Examinations check for damage, excessive wear, leaks and secure mounting.
The scope and deadlines for checks and servicing are specified by the manufacturer and may vary depending on the type of attachment.
Drive battery testing
The drive battery of your forklift truck is checked in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications. Various inspections and measurements are conducted, including cell voltage, acidity, electrolyte temperature, the integrity of the battery compartment, fill level and insulation measurement.
Regular testing extends the service life of the battery and maintains its performance. This ensures that your vehicles are able to function at full capacity.
Charger testing
Chargers are tested annually in accordance with the trade association regulation DGUV V3. The aim is to check and maintain the function of the chargers to ensure optimum charging and therefore the best performance from your batteries. This, in turn, guarantees the availability and performance of your forklift trucks.
This test may only be carried out by those qualified to do so. Suitable testing equipment is also required. STILL service engineers have the right qualifications and equipment to carry out this testing on your behalf.
Rack inspections
Annual inspection of racking is required as per trade association regulation BGR 234, the Industrial Safety Ordinance and EN 15635. These documents describe, among other things, the scope and procedure for checking racking systems. It is possible to inspect racking without pausing operation and all inspections are carried out by specially trained racking inspectors.
The aim is to identify and eliminate any damage to racking early in order to prevent accidents or collapse.
The inspection is carried out systematically by means of a detailed inspection protocol and an inspection badge is affixed to the shelving as documentation. Upon request, we are also able to monitor when future racking inspections are due on your behalf.
STILL Pre-Shift Check
Safety first: digital guided Pre-Shift Check
With the Pre-Shift Check in the on-board computer STILL Easy Control STILL achieves a new level of safety for the driver and the truck: before the start of each shift, or at user-defined intervals, the driver must confirm the operational capability of the truck via the on-board computer before he can put the truck into operation with all its functions.
The customer is free to choose the criteria of the safety check. In addition to the standard query, several individual queries can be stored in the display of the on-board computer. And if an answer is negative? The customer has all options.
For example, he can define in the system that the performance of the vehicle is automatically limited if a query shows a negative test result.
STILL Safety Light
It is becoming ever more common for modern intralogistics processes to involve people and trucks working together. The STILL Safety Light is a helpful visual warning system that helps to ensure the safety of your work processes.
The blue warning light significantly increases safety in your workplace, especially in poorly lit and winding areas.
The bright blue spot on the ground approx. 5 m behind the equipment alerts others that the truck is approaching and can prevent a collision.
The STILL Safety Light can be retrofitted onto almost all trucks by your STILL service partner.
